Honda is launching the next-generation Civic Type-R early next year!
The released sketch of the “racing car for the road” as described by its Japanese automaker, is its official debut as a concept come 2014 Nurburgring, Geneva Motor Show.
Other than its aggressive styling and newly developed turbocharged powerplant, a standard six-speed manual transmission is also among the highlighted features you can expect from the new Civic Type-R.
The chassis of this “racing car for the road” is also much wider compared to the standard Civic sporting adaptive rear dampers, which now becomes available as an option on the new Civic Tourer.
Rumors have it that Honda wants to push close to 300 hp or more for the model. Regardless, Honda expects the Civic Type-R to become the fastest front-drive car at the Nurburgring.
Will Honda meet its expectation? Will America ever get it? What do you think?
