More than a decade ago, Skunk2's engineers revolutionized Honda performance by creating the first-ever high-flow, cast aluminum intake manifold. The Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Manifold for the D15 and D16 SOHC engines found in the 1988-2000 Honda Civic, 1993-1997 Honda Del Sol S & Si, and the 1988-1991 Honda CRX Si is a testament to this innovation. This intake manifold features a larger plenum and oversized runners compared to the OEM version, delivering maximum horsepower and torque gains. Unlike manifolds with oversized plenums and short runners that compromise mid-range power, the Pro Series is designed for street enthusiasts who seek increased power without sacrificing mid-range performance.
Skunk2's cast-aluminum Pro Series Intake Manifolds are a direct-fit replacement for most D-series engines and are compatible with all factory sensors. The design incorporates specially tapered runners and a larger plenum that significantly increases and accelerates airflow, allowing for notable top-end power gains. Additionally, the runner exits are precisely machined to match the cylinder head’s ports, ensuring optimal performance. This intake manifold is ideal for both turbocharged and naturally aspirated applications, although it requires a larger-bore throttle body such as one from Skunk2. Note that some models, like the Civic Wagon or Wagovan and '96-'00 Civic, may need clearance modifications for proper fitment.
