The AEM V3 Water/Methanol Multi-Input Injection Kit is a powerful upgrade for turbocharged engines, designed to help you push your vehicle's performance to the next level. By injecting a water/methanol mixture into the intake, this system effectively lowers inlet air temperatures and suppresses detonation, allowing you to safely increase boost pressure and advance ignition timing without the need for high-octane racing fuel. This can lead to power gains of up to 20%, making it a must-have for serious racers and performance enthusiasts.
AEM offers two controller designs with this kit to suit different levels of forced induction. For vehicles running up to 35 PSI of boost, the boost-dependent controller includes an on-board MAP sensor with a molded nipple for easy boost hose connection. For ultra-high boost applications above 35 PSI, the kit features a multiple input controller that works with a 0-5v voltage-based external MAP sensor, providing precise control and adaptability for extreme builds.
The V3 system includes a terminated harness with a positive lock connector, an integrated pump ground circuit, and an additional wire for an optional on/off flow solenoid. It also features AEM's "Boost Safe" readiness failsafe system, a recirculation-style pump for quiet operation, and an LED dash light for system status and low fluid warnings. The included machined billet injector has an integral check valve to prevent unintended flow, ensuring reliable performance under the most demanding conditions. For optimal results, it's recommended to use the system with AEM's inline filter and high-flow low-current WMI solenoid, particularly in setups where the pump and tank are installed higher than the injection nozzle.
